In 2016 Viktor Hovland won silver in the men's European Championship at EGCC,. He has already won the PGA Tour and is ranked 14th in the world today. The chances of Viktor not representing the European team at this year's Ryder Cup are very slim. Hovland also hold the club record of 63 strokes on the EGCC Sea Course.

Since 2010, EGCC has hosted a total of five different European golf championships for young people: mid-amateurs, seniors and men's and women's individual European Championships. It is a pleasure to see that the competitions organized in Estonia have left their mark on the European Golf Association and in addition to the EGCC you can see some of Europe’s finest play Pärnu Bay in 2022 and 2023.

We have organized both individual and team World Cup Qualifiers at EGCC. The organization of major competitions is part of our DNA - we want to offer spectators the opportunity to walk the course with top players in Estonia, introduce top shelf golf to the Estonian media and give Estonian judges the opportunity to gain experience at international competitions at home.

For a competition to be successful, a large number of volunteers is needed - and the same goes for the European Championships in July. Volunteers have a variety of tasks to do and times to help are flexible. So, if you want to see the organization of a top competition up close and at the same time learn from the best about how to play a course to par (or below it!), fill in the form on the Estonian Golf Association page and get involved!
