This weekend, we separated the best from the rest. In the women's competition, 17-year-old Mariliis Palm won with 153 strokes (77-76), which has already brought her HCP to 3.3 after a couple of years of graft. 14-year-old Richard Teder became the club's champion with 148 strokes (73-75). Richard's HCP is +1.3, which led him to hope for a sub par tournament. In the end, he did enough to win but with a more modest strokes total. Last week's Latvian Junior Open held in Latvia was won by Richard with 72-64-69. Congratulations also to other club champions in different age groups:
Juniors U15: Ruut Kangus
Mid-amateur women: Anneli Esken
Mid-amateur Men: Jan Larsson
Seniors 50+ men: Tõnis Segerkrantz
Seniors 50+ women: Monica Pihlak
Seniors 60+ men: Toomas Kull
Seniors 60+ women: Margarita Ross
Seniors 65+ men: Arvo Närep
A longer overview of the championship with Kadri Palta's visuals will be available shortly. In the meantime, you can enjoy Kadri's shots of men's winner Richard Teder, who has a club jacket on his shoulders. In time, we hope he will grow into it.
